There are a number of trails that are perfect for snowshoeing right here in Breckenridge. We’ve got our favorites listed on our Best Breckenridge Snowshoe Trails list. All hikes on our Easy Hikes list are also great for snowshoeing or winter hiking. If a trail is well packed and/or it’s early or late season, a good pair of waterproof boots might be all you need. If you venture out with hiking boots only, do not go off trail into unpacked snow where you might find yourself hip-deep in the snow.
Both the Breckenridge Nordic Center and Gold Run Nordic Center have dedicated snowshoe trails at their locations on Ski Hill Road and just off Highway 9 north of Breck respectively. Many free trails can also be found on the Summit County Explorer website, or check out this Breckenridge trails map.
Snowshoe rentals are available at our preferred Breckenridge ski rental shops.
