Breckenridge Ice Sculpture

What is it?

It’s that time of year again for one of the most popular Breckenridge events of the year, the International Snow Sculpture Championship!  Sixteen teams from around the world will carve spectacular art out of 12 foot tall, 20+ tons blocks of ice using only hand tools.  Each team has 96 hours to complete their art with the start of a cannon on  January 21 at 11:00 a.m. Viewing Week is January 25-January 30, but both Sculpting Week and Viewing Week are open for spectators. Weather permitting, the snow sculptures will stay on display until the night of Sunday, January 30 when they will disappear under the darkness of night. This event is FREE all week.
