Full-mode holiday spirit goes into effect with the official Lighting of Breckenridge. The fun starts off with a doggie parade that no one can resist followed by the jolliest race of them all, and ends with Santa flipping the switch to reveal thousands of beautifully strung lights at town center.
Dogs of all shapes and sizes will don their holiday fashions and strut their furry stuff for adoring fans in the Holiday Dog Parade on south Main Street starting at 3:45 pm. The parade is followed at 4:30 pm by flashes of white and red dashing down Main Street as hundreds of Santas race to claim prizes at the finish line. The crowd will then gather at Blue River Plaza just as the sun has set at 5:00 pm to be awed by the light display in the foreground of the beautiful Breckenridge Mountain backdrop. The WOW factor is high for all phases of the Dew Tour stop in Breckenridge.
